CAPE TOWN – Apple Inc is expected to unveil its new iPhone on 12 September when it holds its annual product launch at its new headquarters in Cupertino, California.
According to reports, Apple is set to announce three new iPhone models, a new version of its Apple TV set-top box and a new version of its Apple Watch.
The launch of the new iPhones will mark a decade since the launch of the smartphone.
According to insiders, the iPhone 8 is expected to have a larger OLED edge-to-edge display and is set have a 3-D facial recognition sensor to unlock the phone, gesture controls instead of a home button and better cameras to support augmented reality apps.
The Apple Watch will reportedly be able to connect to LTE cellular data networks.
